In Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, the Templar night says to Indy, "Choose wisely. For while the true grail brings life, false ones will take it away from you" (or words to that effect).
Why quote Last Crusade? Well, because I'm at a decision point. I've recently installed IntenseDebate to handle the comments on this site, having switched over from Disqus. But was that the right choice to make?
IntenseDebate is now owned by the company that owns WordPress. That's a plus for that service. I think it means tighter integration with WP in the future -- and the integration is already pretty good as it is, better than Disqus anyway.
But more people seem to use Disqus. It also connects with Facebook and, soon, Friendfeed (as I understand it).
So I asked this question on Twitter and I'll ask it again here. Which one? Can anyone advise?

It’s such a damnably hard choice to make. Everybody in the world seems to be using Disqus these days, but, then again, IntenseDebate now allows for plugins which will only extend its functionality in the future. Argh!
